Easy access to the Grand Western Canal here. Follow signs for Burlescombe from A38 south of Wellington or north of J27, M5. Free parking close to water, and no wardens to charge for paddling at this end of the canal (That we've seen).

Excellent launch point. There is a small slipway too, which was useful.
Was here today, and so was the warden! luckily we'd purchased a day ticket from the village shop

About 200 yards from the entry & exit at Burlescombe, over the bridge and up the hill.

Place to launch or land at the prettier end of the canal. About 2 miles North of Burlescombe, and 4 & 1/2 miles North of the A361. The canal is 11 & 1/4 miles long altogether, with no locks at all. You are likely to be charged to launch or land at the other end.
