This there-and-back trip provides some good views of Portchester Castle and Portsdown hill.

This trip can be stopped almost anywhere on the north shore or at the slipway in Fareham for a shorter route.

The part over the mudflats is best completed at high tide for speed, but the channels can be navigated at low tide to make for a more interesting trip.

Good access with a slip and public pontoon. Watch out for low tide when the only way in would be by sinking mud. Good access 2 hours either side of low tide by pontoon.
Close to Jolly Roger pub and Old House at Home, as well as amble free parking at the top of the road.
