Canoeing and Kayaking on : Loch Torridon

Paddle Point

Access from a small jetty off the minor road to Diabeg. Please park considerately and do not block passing places.

Upper Loch Torridon is an amazing place surrounded by stupendous mountain scenery. Whilst is is more sheltered than many lochs, care is still needed in rough weather, and strong tidal currents can occur, especially near the narrowing into the lower loch.

Paddle Point

Launch into Loch Shieldaig from the shore, with parking nearby. Round the headland is the more sheltered part of Upper Loch Torridon, where you are surrounded by some of the most spectacular mountains anywhere.

You need to check tides, as the flow at the narrows can be strong.
