Canoeing and Kayaking on : Loch Luichart

Paddle Point

Park at layby on A832 the first one past the road to the railway station. Do not go to the station although there is also access there but this requires crossing the railway track and negotiating a couple of locked gates - not to be recommended. From the layby follow the rather overgrown track down towards the railway track. At a fallen tree bear off right heading towards the loch. This will bring you to the loch just at the railway bridge.

Paddle Point

Park in layby and carry/drag canoe down to bay. Not so easy to easy to get back up the hill but one of the few places to launch for this loch due to railway line running the full length of loch.

Not sure what the best route from the car park is but it's about 700ft to the water. The ground is very wet and soft not easy but worth it.
