Canoeing and Kayaking on : Loch Sionasgaig

A true gem, Loch Sionasgaig is one of the most amazing places to go canoeing in Britain. With no direct access from the road, it takes an effort to get there with a portage involved, so it will never be busy.

As you paddle between the wild, rocky islands, your eyes will be drawn to the stunning mountains around you, Suilven, Cul Mor and Cul Beag, and the remarkable Stac Polaidh.

Paddle Point

A truly stunning paddle on a wild Loch in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, Assynt.
This is quite strenuous due to the portages (green) needed to get to the loch.
Sionasgaig is a big loch, and as with all such places, care and experience are needed as wind and waves can come up very quickly.
Eilean Mor is a nice place to visit, as is the sandy beach at the east end.
