Canoeing and Kayaking on : River Ant

Paddle Point

The Quay at Ludham Bridge Services is ideal for a trip up to Barton Turf (north) or south to join the River Bure. The get in is off a lowered section of the concrete quay, or a short walk further along the river brings you to a grassy bank if you are worried about the possibility of scratching the hull.

Paddle Point

This is a small slipway owned by the Parish Council, a charge of £3 is made (2011 price), easy paddles can be taken from here up stream along the North Walsham & Dilham Canal as far as Honing Lock and downstream along the River Ant towards Stalham, Barton broad, How Hill & Ludham Bridge.

Wayford Bridge is a good access point for the North Walsham & Dilham Canal.

Treefall blocked last part to Honning Lock as of 11/06/16. There is free parking near Banks boats and it's still 3 quid to use slipway.
Launching only for boats 12' and smaller, so may be a problem for canoes. Picture of sign attached. Still plenty of free parking.
