A free carpark by the pub with easy access via steps or bank. A good spot to launch for a Beachey Head paddle. The river is tidal but nothing too serious.

An easy launch spot beyond the busy car park opposite Seven Sisters Country Park.

The paddling here is very short, you can only go about half way to the sea down the classic meanders, but it is a very lovely spot to be.

It is possible to cross into the fast running tidal river Cuckmere. You will need to know your tides well to do this, and be able to handle your canoe in fast running water.

A set of wide wooden steps leading down the embankment to the tidal river.
