They also provide a useful tool with route planning, but it should be stressed, the right to paddle on some rivers is contested. Some people may inform you that you should not paddle on some sections of some rivers. Information entered on Paddle Points does not mean there is a right to access the water or use the water.

Space for a few cars and easy access to the canal.
Popular launch site for organised canoe parties with large trailers so leave space.
Small car parking area next to bridge and canal in lower village
Good designated launch site. Parking for three cars
A good launch point with parking on the canal there are rubber edges to the bank to protect canoes from the walls
A good canal side pub in the village of Gilwern, this is not however a good launch point, but there is a very good parking area and launch point approx 500m west of Church Road

A nice place to launch on to the canal, there is a parking and launch fee. this is payable in the tea room adjacent to the wharf
A lovely canal side pub, good beers and benches by the water, large car park but please ask permission to park prior to paddling or at least buy a drink
This marks the southern end of the navigable canal however from here there is over 20 miles of lock free water, towards Brecon
